An update from Otakuffee

17 Mar

I know it’s been a while since my last post and so I would like to use this opportunity to thank my readers. And here’s a few snapshots of things that kept me busy. Hehehe

We have another dog! Born on October 24, 2014, male, shih tzu breed. He arrived at our home last December and we decided to name him Louis. Louis like the brand Louis Vuitton. We already have a dog named Hermes, so why not name him Louis, right? He’s such a handful yet so adorable. He’s either tugging used clothes from the hamper or dashing towards the ball or giving you those puppy dog eyes when he wants something.

Here’s another picture for you.

And here’s a picture of Hermes and Chewee.

Chewee fathered them both but with different mothers. Papa Chewee is still so cute though. 😀

Here’s an extra pic! Forgive my bare face as I carry Chewee’s sons. My Father is spotted at the background too! hehehe

I’m working on different drama reviews right now. Hopefully I can publish it soon. Until then, thank you for your patience. 😀

Body Recipe Papaya Bath Soap Review

15 May

Hurray! Finally! My first ever product review! And I know it might suck but please bear with me.

I actually won these along with other HBC products from one of the giveaways sponsored by So Gellesh. I got these a while back but I didn’t use until recently. I promised myself I’ll finish my products before trying anything new you see. Anyways, here’s what I think about it:

  • Packaging: 3 out of 5. I don’t know about you but a packaging with a brownish color that reminds you of a brown envelope doesn’t really suits me well. Well, it’s either good or a bad thing to be exact. Bad because its not really eye appealing (for me) and good because it is easily recognizable as one of the HBC products.  Body Recipe products usually have this same packaging. Another good thing about its packaging is that they printed the expiration date on it. Expiration dates are much welcomed and its a big plus for the consumers.
  • Color: 2.5 out of 5.  As you can see from the picture above, it has light orange color. I’m not really into papaya soaps but I do admit I used Silka Green papaya a while back. I used the green one so I can’t serve it as a basis. My aunt used another brand of Papaya soap and when I compare it to Body Recipe’s Papaya soap, I have to say it looks dry and unappealing.
  •  Scent: 3 out of 5.  I love papayas but I don’t like to smell like one or I don’t necessary like the smell of it.
  • Lightening: 3 out of 5.  I used the soaps starting somewhere late in March until the first week of May and I didn’t see any changes on my skin tone.  I even asked my friends that I didn’t see in few weeks if I got fairer and they said no.
  • Overall: 3 out of 5.  The only thing that is a plus about this product is that it doesn’t melt that fast. It can last longer than other soaps.
  • Repurchase? That would be a NO.

An update from yours truly :D

27 Apr

Hi! I know I haven’t updated for awhile so I made this post.

I have been in Manila since April 6 and we’ve been staying in a very nice Condominium somewhere in Makati. The Condo’s name is The Tivoli Garden Residences. You can search it if you want; especially to those who are searching for a nice condo. [They are constructing another building so y’all should check it out. Its much cheaper when they are pre-selling. :D] Anyways, as much as I like the condo and its amenities, there’s no WiFi. Oops, let me rephrase that. I can’t seem to connect to the local ‘Free’ and unsecured WiFi. They, the sales agents, did say there is a stable signal on the ground floor/club house and we are on the 21st floor so it will be a nice miracle that we can fully use it to our advantage (I hate bringing my lappy in public places, you see. It’s bulky and I want to stroll around. I even tried going there with my Tab but sadly I think the connection hates me.) I see lots of other WiFi’s here but those have passwords. Especially nowadays an internet connection is considered a need. (Right?) I’m not a hacker and I am not a ‘Makapal ang mukha’ that could bluntly ask people who are practically strangers for the password of their internet connections. And so, I’m stuck in just playing and making random posts with my lappy and watching movies on the television. The only time that I can access the internet is when we go out and went to the mall that has a strong signal using my phone or my Tab. Ahh, poor me. My cousin has a Sun mobile wifi with her but unfortunately, there are only few areas where Sun signal is strong and where the condo is located is NOT one of those. We really did thought that Sun’s signal here is strong; well, it is in Cebu.

Lips in Green

15 Feb

I’ve been in hyper mood today for coloring my lips. And the lucky color is green.

I am not really a fan of green eye shadows but this shade of green is actually my favorite. I mean, this is the only shade of green that I own and love so far.

48 Random Facts about me

11 Feb

I happened to read at a blog about this and it inspired me to do the same. She made about 50 but i’ll go with 48. Here’s the reason, this Feb 13 would be my birthday and so I came up with this equation:

2 + 13 + 20 +13= 48. February 13, 2013. I just separated 20 & 13 coz I can’t possibly think of more than 2,ooo facts about me. I even had a hard time completing this 48 list.

So without further ado, here it goes: Continue reading

Facial Mask & Eye Mask from Watsons!

10 Feb

My Kuya (elder brother) just got home from his trip in Cagayan de Oro City! As I requested, he was able to buy 3 pieces of Watsons Calming Facial Mask Lavender Extract and 2 pieces Watsons Energising Eye Mask. There are no Watsons store near her in our place, by the way.

I’m excited to try these! I do hope (fingers crossed), the mask would do good to my face. The other one with Aloe Vera caused some pimples on my face. 😦

Hopefully, I can start doing my product reviews with the Watsons Facial Mask with Aloe Vera.

Have a nice day! 😀
