Body Recipe Papaya Bath Soap Review

15 May

Hurray! Finally! My first ever product review! And I know it might suck but please bear with me.

I actually won these along with other HBC products from one of the giveaways sponsored by So Gellesh. I got these a while back but I didn’t use until recently. I promised myself I’ll finish my products before trying anything new you see. Anyways, here’s what I think about it:

  • Packaging: 3 out of 5. I don’t know about you but a packaging with a brownish color that reminds you of a brown envelope doesn’t really suits me well. Well, it’s either good or a bad thing to be exact. Bad because its not really eye appealing (for me) and good because it is easily recognizable as one of the HBC products.  Body Recipe products usually have this same packaging. Another good thing about its packaging is that they printed the expiration date on it. Expiration dates are much welcomed and its a big plus for the consumers.
  • Color: 2.5 out of 5.  As you can see from the picture above, it has light orange color. I’m not really into papaya soaps but I do admit I used Silka Green papaya a while back. I used the green one so I can’t serve it as a basis. My aunt used another brand of Papaya soap and when I compare it to Body Recipe’s Papaya soap, I have to say it looks dry and unappealing.
  •  Scent: 3 out of 5.  I love papayas but I don’t like to smell like one or I don’t necessary like the smell of it.
  • Lightening: 3 out of 5.  I used the soaps starting somewhere late in March until the first week of May and I didn’t see any changes on my skin tone.  I even asked my friends that I didn’t see in few weeks if I got fairer and they said no.
  • Overall: 3 out of 5.  The only thing that is a plus about this product is that it doesn’t melt that fast. It can last longer than other soaps.
  • Repurchase? That would be a NO.
